Celebrate 21 years of festival fun at Gander’s annual Festival of Flight! From our Opening Ceremonies and Family Festival at Cobb’s Pond on Wednesday, Aug. 1, to the final shell of our fabulous Fireworks Display on Monday, Aug. 6, be prepared to have fun, enjoy great food, party hearty, spend time with family and reminisce with long-lost friends.

The Festival of Flight has always been known as a good time to come home for Ganderites who live away and this year is no exception! Our annual celebration has grown beyond a local entertainment event to a full-scale Festival with something for everyone to see and do. It attracts people from all over the province and indeed tourists from far and wide.

This year we’ll still have all of our regular events like the Festival Parade, Demolition Derby, NL’s Biggest Kitchen Party, Community Breakfast and more, however, this is a very special year as it is the 10th anniversary of our first Hot Air Balloon Festival. Yes, we’re bringing them back, so look to the skies for a big surprise!

Shut down the kitchen, grab your family, call your friends and neighbors and meet at Cobb’s Pond Rotary Park, on the parade route or at one of the various venues. You won’t want to miss out on this awesome event, so mark it on your calendar - August 1-6, Gander will be rockin’ at the 2007 Festival of Flight.
