Airport Historic Display

The 'Atlantic Wings' permanent exhibit in the domestic passenger lounge at Gander International Airport offers interpretive displays and artifacts chronicling the birth and early development of transatlantic aviation. From the first crossings by rigid airships through the pioneering flights of Lindbergh and Earhart to the inaugural commercial service of the great flying boats, 'Atlantic Wings' sets the stage for the establishment of Gander as the world's largest airfield at the height of aviation's 'Golden Age'.
