WASTE DISPOSAL EVENTS – SEPTEMBER 2026

The Town of Gander would like to remind residents of two upcoming waste disposal events.

Waste Transfer Station – September 19

The Waste Transfer Station will be open on Saturday, September 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Household Hazardous Waste Day – September 19

The Town of Gander’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Day will also take place on Saturday, September 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Steele Community Centre parking lot.

Residents can dispose of household hazardous waste, including products that are toxic, corrosive, flammable, explosive or stored in pressurized containers. These materials are not accepted through regular curbside garbage collection.

This event is free of charge for residents.
