• May 29: 9am–12pm
Spring Clean Up starts Monday, May 4 and will run for two weeks.
We’ve been hearing from residents about the amount of snow still on the ground in some areas and whether the program might be postponed.
This option was reviewed. However, the contractor for curbside collection is secured for these dates and, due to contractor availability and operational requirements, changes are not possible.
As we know, winter in Newfoundland and Labrador can vary quite a bit from year to year. With warmer temperatures in the forecast, we’re expecting conditions to improve over the two-week clean-up period, with snow melting in most areas as collection continues.
To help support residents, additional Waste Transfer Station dates will be scheduled as we continue work to introduce automated operations at the facility.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the seasonal conditions.
