VARIANCE FROM REGULATIONS - 113 Memorial Drive
Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of Gander has received an application to construct a garage at the above noted address which will exceed the total permitted height for accessory buildings in a residential zone. The proposal is an accessory building with a total height of 6.05 metres.
It is noted that this property is situated in a Residential Medium Density zone which restricts the maximum accessory building height to 5.50 metres. The Town Council of Gander, at their discretion, may vary their regulations to a maximum of 10%.
Anyone wishing to make representation on this matter must do so in writing and the representation must be received by the Planning and Public Works Department, Town of Gander, no later than 12:00 noon on Friday August 7, 2026.

Notice is hereby given that Council has received an application from M G Electrical to operate a home office for an electrical contracting service from 82 Rowsell Boulevard.
It is noted that home occupation is permitted as a “discretionary use” for the zone in which this property is located.

Please be advised that the Branch Drop-Off Site on Cooper Boulevard will temporarily close on Thursday, July 30 at 8:00 a.m.
During this time, residents can use the Leaves and Grass Compost Site on McCurdy Drive for branch drop-off. The Cooper Boulevard site will reopen on Wednesday, August 5 at 8:00 a.m.

Newfoundland Regiment Takes on the Saginaw Spirit in Gander!
The Newfoundland Regiment will host the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League at the Steele Community Centre on Friday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m.
The matchup is part of a three-game preseason series and marks the first-ever visit by an OHL club to Newfoundland and Labrador for preseason competition.
