Nomination Period Closed – Candidate List Finalized for Election

The nomination period for the 2025 Municipal Election has officially ended.

Percy Farwell has been acclaimed as Mayor.

Shave and pave work is underway in several areas around town, along with other street resurfacing.

Please slow down and follow all road signs.

Please be advised that there will be a traffic interruption tomorrow, September 3, 2025 at 1 Memorial Drive between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This interruption is necessary for sewer repairs. There will be no water shut off during this time.

Reminder: Due to the Labour Day holiday, Monday's garbage collection will take place on Wednesday, September 3rd.

Notice: Intersection Construction – Memorial Drive & Airport Blvd

Construction started this morning, August 22, at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Airport Blvd.

• Traffic lights will be shut down at times.
• Flagpersons will be in place at each leg of the intersection to guide vehicles.
• Work is expected to continue into the weekend.

Starting Monday, August 25, work will also begin on Memorial Drive East.

Please drive with care in these areas and follow the directions of traffic control personnel.
