    Traffic Advisory - Edinburgh Ave
    Please be advised that there will be a traffic interruption on Edinburgh Ave (between Elizabeth Dr and Cooper Blvd) on Wednesday June 4 and Thursday June 5 for asphalt preparation and repairs in the area. Motorists are advised to watch for traffic detours during this time. 
    The Town of Gander apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Fire Ban in Effect - May 30, 2025
    Effective immediately, a fire ban is in effect for Gander, NL, due to a high forest fire index.
    Open fires, backyard fire pits, fireworks, charcoal BBQ, and all burn permits are not allowed.
    Propane BBQ and propane fire pits are allowed.
    Forest vegetation is very dry and fires will start easily, burn vigorously, and challenge fire suppression efforts.

    VARIANCE FROM REGULATIONS - 18 Gordon Street

    Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of Gander has received an application to construct a fence at the above noted address to a total height of 2.2 metres.

    It is noted that this property is zoned Residential Medium Density and the maximum permitted fence height in this zone is 2.0 metres. Council may vary their development standards by 10%.

    Please be advised that on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, there will be a water shut-off affecting the following civic addresses:
    • 27 Morgan Drive
    • 1-39 Collishaw Crescent
    Water shut-off will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM for necessary water main repairs.
    Additionally, during this time there will be a road closure for Collishaw Crescent.

    DISCRETIONARY NOTICE - 35H ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD

    Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of Gander has received an application from Christian Missionary Fellowship International Newfoundland (CMFI, Newfoundland) to occupy the suite in the building at the above noted address for the purposes of a Prayer Room.

    The location in question is currently zoned Commercial General. It is noted that General Assembly uses are permitted as a Discretionary Use in this zone as per the Town of Gander Development Regulations.
