Waste Transfer Station - July 12, 2025

DISCRETIONARY NOTICE - 129 Bennett Drive
Notice is hereby given that Council has received an application from Bajwa Express to operate a home-based office for a daily shuttle service (Gander to St. John’s return) from 129 Bennett Drive. Passenger pickup and drop off to take place off site.
It is noted that home occupation is permitted as a “discretionary use” for the zone in which this property is located.

Public Notice - Sale of Land
In accordance with Section 292 of the Towns and Local Service Districts Act, the Town of Gander hereby notifies the public of its intention to sell the following:
0.435-hectare parcel of land located at 100 Dickins Street, Gander, NL.
0.066-hectare parcel of land located at 13A McCurdy Drive, Gander, NL.
Submissions regarding this sale may be made up to and including July 22, 2025. Submissions can be sent via email to info@gandercanada.com or delivered in person to the Town Hall at 100 Elizabeth Drive, Gander, NL.
DISCRETIONARY NOTICE - 9 Grandy Avenue
Notice is hereby given that Council has received an application from Johnny Mobile Detailing to operate a home-based office for a mobile auto cleaning and detailing service from 9 Grandy Avenue. This would be an office for administrative duties with all customer related business activity taking place off site.
It is noted that home occupation is permitted as a “discretionary use” for the zone in which this property is located.

VARIANCE FROM REGULATIONS - 6 Lacey Place
Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of Gander has received an application to construct a garage at the above noted address which will exceed the total permitted height for accessory buildings in a residential zone. The proposal is an accessory building with a total height of 6.05 metres.
It is noted that this property is situated in a Residential Medium Density zone which restricts the maximum accessory building height to 5.50 metres. The Town Council of Gander may vary their regulations to a maximum of 10%.
Anyone wishing to make representation on this matter must do so in writing and the representation must be received by the Engineering Department, Town of Gander, no later than 12:00 noon on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of Gander has received an application and a discretionary use request to construct a single dwelling and a double dwelling on the combined lot noted above, as a cluster development. (See attached drawing)
A Cluster Development means two or more residential and/or commercial buildings developed in combination on one lot, in single ownership.
It is noted that this area is zoned Residential Medium Density (RMD) and Cluster Developments are permitted as a Discretionary Use within the RMD zone in the Town of Gander Development Regulations.
